Wheel torque errors are among the most preventable, and most costly, mistakes in a tyre workshop. An under-torqued wheel can come loose; an over-torqued stud can stretch or snap; the wrong tightening pattern can warp a brake rotor. A single missed spec can mean a comeback, a warranty claim, or worse. TorqSpec was created so that a fitter at the wheel has a reliable, current reference in seconds, with no binders, no printed charts and no relying on memory.

Verified Wheel Nut Torque Specifications

TorqSpec maintains a growing database of wheel nut torque specs, bolt patterns, thread sizes, seat types and stud counts across passenger cars, light commercials, 4WDs and electric vehicles sold in Australia. Every specification carries a transparent confidence score, from 100% for OEM manual data down through workshop-manual and corroborated tiers to an 87.5% provisional floor, and names its source. We never estimate or guess a value. If we cannot verify it, we do not publish it.

Tools Built for the Fitter at the Wheel

Accurate data is only useful if it is fast to act on. Every result shows the wheel nut socket size alongside the torque figure, so the right socket is on the gun before the vehicle is on the hoist. A tightening sequence diagram is generated for the vehicle's stud count, steel and alloy wheel values are shown separately where they differ, and built-in unit conversions handle Nm, ft-lb, kPa and psi without leaving the page.
